  • Artisanal bakery crafting the perfect buns, pastry and you will have a “BMO” (sourdough bun with Danish cheese)

  • Historic establishments like Sømods Bolcher (traditional candy makers)

  • Authentic smørrebrød specialists revealing the art of open-faced sandwiches

  • Specialty cheese shop featuring organic and Danish selections

  • Nyhavn's charming food establishments with harbor views

  • Additional surprises based on seasonal availability and food souvenirs

At many locations, you'll enjoy carefully selected tastings that represent the best of Danish cuisine, from traditional favorites to contemporary interpretations.

About the food walk

This walking tour adapts to Copenhagen's seasonal offerings and your interests. While certain beloved establishments feature regularly, the route remains flexible to showcase the freshest and most interesting culinary experiences available.

Each stop provides delicious tastings but some are more about the cultural context and food history that makes Danish cuisine so fascinating.

Practical information

  • Duration: 4-5 hours

  • Time: 9.30 am - around 2 pm (or by appointment/agreement)

  • Location: Meeting point in central Copenhagen (details provided upon booking)

  • 5-6 km walk. Two stops seated for 45 min. at each (few toilets on the way)

  • Price: 975 DKK per person including coffee, bun, cake (breakfast), Danish lunch, drinks and sweets + food souvenirs

  • Group size: 5-13 persons

  • Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies upon booking
